Everyone has been asking so just got a chance to put up some overdue photo's. Here we have the Nisei UICP/Intake Pipe Only! Combo with a Stock LICP.
Below you can see how we relocated the BOV and how we return it back to the Intake Pipe (which works with Stock Airbox Or Nisei Engineering "Full Intake Kit"). The BOV is mounted right on the LICP for several reasons:
(a) Direct Mount - Instead of pressurizing the entire OEM BOV hose (Contributing to additional "Lag") it is now a very short distance to the BOV. OEM BOV hose approximately 1 3/8" diameter x 36" is Reduced Down to 1 3/8" diameter x 3".
(b) Quicker BOV Reaction - Since the BOV is now closer to the Throttle Body. Example: Under boost conditions as soon as the Throttle Plate closes (lift off throttle/deceleration) pressure will begin to back up (potential to cause "Surge" making the turbo shaft spin backwards) which over time will cause the bearings of a turbo to fail prematurely or turbo shaft itself to become "Out of Round"/Warp. Eventually causing the turbocharger to break. Now that being stated, the closer the BOV is mounted near the throttle plate (point of which pressure will begin backing up under deceleration) it can re-act sooner while keeping the pressurized air moving in the right direction promoting spool up/response when the next gear is engaged.
(c) Longevity - By eliminating the Long OEM Rubber BOV Hose (approximately 36") you will decrease the possibility of "dry-rot"/cracking/potential boost leak. Mounting the BOV closer with a MUCH Shorter (3" or less) Silicone/Nomex blend hose (Hose Techniques = Lifetime Warranty against tearing/breakage) that will have a smaller section subject to constant heat and pressure. Greatly reducing the "Balloon Effect".
(d) Appearance - A much cleaner look (In our opinion).
Below you can see the BOV return line when using the stock LICP. Both BOV & Return line clear the stock bracket allowing the Stock Air Box to be utilized.
Here is a Polished Nisei Engineering LICP with our Intake Pipe. We've re-angled the BOV to stay well below the factory air box bracket. Thus allowing our LICP to work with the Stock Air Box.

Closer view of clearance between LICP & angle of BOV in relation to the stock air box bracket assembly. Note: Matte Black LICP featured.
