I know a lot of you are waiting to get the new Competition Series FMIC's. Here is a look at the first batch of the first shipment. I promise you it is all worth the wait.
Now, we're in the last strech. Just waiting for the New End Tanks to be cast, and polishing. Then we're off in FULL PRODUCTION!
Hang tight!
I will keep this thread up to date as things come in and production begins. |

Quick update. Just finalizing fitment so we can get production rolling. Here is a photo of the second set of the first articles. I picked up several sets of polished first articles (second set) today. Tomorrow we'll assemble and if everything goes well. We should be able to schedule production, with casting/polishing/final assembly.
I'll keep you all up to date! |

Kevin,
What will the benefits of this new competition FMIC be over your sport or current production FMIC?
Thanks in advance,
David |

David,
We've basically made it even more efficient overall. Our street series was very effective with controlling the thermals. It's performance matched/exceeded many of the so called "Race" FMIC's.
Our Competition FMIC not only controls the thermals just as well as the street but, we've managed to increase the torque/response/spool-up on a stock turbo. So, now you will get the best of both worlds.
I don't think there is another air-to-air FMIC that fits with the stock bumper beam support which can compete with our Competition FMIC. It is one time purchase that will cover your application from stock turbo to T51. |

6/22/06 - Picked up the end tanks from the polisher today around 3:30pm. Competition FMIC's will begin assembly tomorrow!!!
Now, I know a lot of you guys have been waiting for a long time... and most of you are on the "Priority List" that Rob assembled. I spoke to Rob today and he informed me that he's called/left messages/ pm'd/emailed you guys about the availability, shipping dates and payment.
I just want to let you know that though you are on the "Priority List", means that you will be given first shot at purchasing the "Competition FMIC". Now that being said, I would strongly suggest you contact Rob at MyEvoStore.com or MotionGarage.com via email or call (949)340-6810 to finalize shipping/payment details. You will have approximately 1 week to arrange payment/delivery. The Competition FMIC's will begin shipping out tomorrow 6/23/06!
I wanted to make an official statement because as most of you may know we have more people on the list than we do FMIC's.... this time around. I felt in order to be fair to all Nisei customer's it would be best to post.
Starting 6/30/06 we will start contacting everyone else on the list about every available unit that has not claimed. Note: if you are unable to contact Rob directly, please feel free to contact myself and make arrangements via email - Sales@NiseiEngineering.com or ph (310)408-2767.
Last thing, some of you are wondering how much better our Competition FMIC is over our Street. Well our Street FMIC is Excellent at keeping low outlet temperatures. The pressure drop on the Street was good approximately .7-1.6 psi (depending on turbocharger & boost pressure). The Street FMIC kept up with our competitors so called "Race" FMIC's.
When we began developing the Competition Series FMIC. We knew the Intercooler to beat was the Nisei Street FMIC. The Competition FMIC has the same Excellent cooling capability. Preliminary testing between the Nisei Street vs Competition FMIC's has revealed the Competition FMIC to produce the same low outlet temperatures, and on occasions produced lower outlet temperatures than the Street (3*-5*F degrees colder). Regarding the pressure drop of the Competition FMIC. We've been able to reduce it to less than half of the Street FMIC without affecting the thermal exchange characteristics. So far it has registered 0.2 - 0.5 of a psi (based on a stock turbocharger running 19-23 psi). Throttle response has increased, power comes in sooner and holds all the way through RPM range.
In the studies/tests I've seen so far, I strongly believe this FMIC will not be out performed by any intercooler in it's class!
Our "Street" FMIC has not only out performed our competitors street FMIC's. They've had to conduct side-by-side comparison/test against their "Race" versions, which our "Street" was neck-and-neck with them.
The "Competition" FMIC will not only hold it's own, it will elevate the standard of race! Once again, we stand behind all of our products we make and are willing to prove the performance worthy!
It's late so I will sign off with these photos of our Competition FMIC installed. Enjoy!

| Does the new Comp spec IC use the same sized couplers that the Street spec did? Thanks! |

The Competition FMIC has a 2 1/2" inlet with 3" outlet.
Inlet straight hose, outlet transition hose (3" to 2 1/2"), and T-bolts are included. |
