First, why anodized & not powder coated? Anodizing is more durable and scratch resistant. Not to mention a better finish.

Next, we really would like to have production completed by the end of next week. Please give us as much feedback on the color you prefer. Your feedback is much appreciated.

Note : Polished Only will still be available. The terminals pictured will be different from the production model.

I've noticed on EvoM some people were asking about the lead time for the release of the battery tray in black. If a decision is reached by the end of this week on which black is preferred then we're looking at late next week. The polished trays will be made available a few days before the black.

Another concern I'd like to address is "will the tray be available seperately?". The answer is Yes. Pricing will be addressed shortly. We're finalizing the costs, need to put together our materials list and figure out the anodizing/ final polishing prices.

I should have an update very shortly.

Well everything is looking good so far. I've managed to snap a few photos off today, so everyone can get a better idea whats going on, and where we're at with the tray.

Also, I wanted to take the opportunity to show a little bit about the precision involved in manufacturing our "Billet Aluminum Tray". (For those who may not be familiar with "Billet" pieces and what it entails to produce one of these things.)

The trays should be completed tomorrow (Monday 5/2/05) and will be sent to the polisher ASAP. We're hoping to release the first batch by the end of this coming week. For those that would like to purchase the battery from us as well, they will be available on Tuesday. The battery terminals still need to be made, but will only take a few days to complete so we're right on schedule.

Enersys Batteries are $79.95 (terminals not included).
Nisei Engineering Terminals are $10.95.

Contact Rob at myevostore.com to reserve your battery tray and battery. Please specify whether you would like anodized black or polished and if you would like to purchase the battery as well.

Note: Battery supplies are limited this month. Make sure you reserve one with Rob ASAP if you need one. Also keep in mind the Oddysey PC680, and Durabatt will work.

Alright, everything is in order and we're looking good regarding keeping the schedule. All parts should be heading for the polisher tomorrow and anodizing as well.

What I suggest for everyone in NEED of a battery to do...is get a hold of Rob at MyEvoStore.com and make sure you get at least a deposit for the battery in with him ASAP.

Looks like we might be taking all the batteries on the west coast for a couple of weeks.

Ok people, I'm glad we're making some progress with this stuff today. I have been receiving phone calls regarding the problems about emails.

MyEvoStore.com is having difficulties with their email account. I've spoke to Rob earlier and apparently there is an issue with the server.

Ok everyone, update the pricing has been finalized. Prices are as follows:

Nisei Black w/battery - $225

Matte Black w/battery - $240

Polished w/battery - $250

Tray ONLY Prices:

Nisei Black - $159.95

Matte Black - $174.95

Polished - $184.95

Current Status : Still out for polishing / anodizing. Shooting for the end of the week.

Because of the delay for release of this kit, ALL kits will be introduced at $225 with battery and $159.95 for Tray ONLY.

Sorry, that does not include shipping. Have to get the weight of battery and tray packed in order to get shipping prices. I would tend to believe UPS ground will be approximately $10. I will need to confirm when I get actual weight.

Good day eveyone! For those checking back on this thread here's the benefit: Just got off the phone with the anodizer and parts are in the tank being dyed. He mentioned a small posibility that there may need to be a 2 part process in getting it done. Which means that it may take an extra day, BUT, reassured me that I would be able to pick them up TOMORROW!!! 5/17 (Note- I don't know if that means tomorrow at 5pm or 7am). Depending on when they are cleared, will determine whether shipping is available tomorrow.

Hardware is completed!! So, the only thing left is getting the trays back and shipping them out!

Now for those who check for the latest 411 on this site... here is the deal.

We've got approximately 45 set's made for this first batch. Since we've not received the greatest amount of feedback on the color choices. There were smaller quantities of the POLISHED & Matte Black produced. Another thing if you NEED A BATTERY, make sure you email Rob as well!

So, if you are in the market for the Matte Black or Polished trays it's important that you email Sales@MyEvoStore.com to get priority! I know it's not officially listed on MyEvoStore.com yet (because there are no pix). Just title your email "Nisei Battery Tray" and Rob will take good care of you!

Update:

1) Was able to pick up (3:40 pm) some of the items today, missing the majority of the "Nisei Black" bases. (2nd stage being applied)

2) I'm going to take back the "Matte Black" tray assemblies tomorrow, because I'm not satisfied with the quality of the finish.

3) Polished tray will be the only thing shipping this week!

Ok everyone it's official, Nisei Black & the New Improved Matte Black will be available by this Friday (Shipping for Nisei Black / Matte Black, Polished trays have already been available for shipping!) I approved the Anodized Matte Black today at 5pm.

I will say the New Matte Black is VERY NICE (not gray like the photo, not blurred, SOLID BLACK), I think alot of you will be pleased. But it will be VERY LIMITED on this first batch (I think 2 kits left) & until we get an official poll of what the people want. The pix for the Matte Black will be made available by tomorrow evening.

Managed to get a FEW PIECES of Nisei Black trays, so it is IN STOCK as of TODAY!
